"I Wrote This For You" Chosen to Premiere at Dances With Films 2019

The prestigious indie-film festival Dances With Films will give Brennan Keel Cook and Jason Zavelta's I Wrote This For You its west coast debut at the TCL Chinese Theatres in Hollywood, California. The film will be part of the Friday evening launch of the 11-day festival, screening on June 21st at 4:30pm.

I Wrote This For You is a fresh, unique drama starring writer/actor Brennan Keel Cook, Melise, and Patrick Walker, describing its synopsis as: "The edges of reality are blurred as Hunter (Cook) struggles to overcome the trauma of a broken relationship. Traversing the surreal landscape of Los Angeles, on a daily quest to “do good things,” he encounters a raft of obscure new relationships. Set amongst an artistic backdrop of slam poetry, I Wrote This For You explores our desire to find courage, face challenges, and continue the universal quest for hope."

Nicole Dambro also makes an appearance in the film, playing the cool waitress Sadie, whom catches the eye of Hunter's friend, Darius (played by Walker).

In addition to the domestic premiere at #DWF22, I Wrote This For You will also have its European debut at the Madrid International Film Festival, taking place August 10-17, 2019. I Wrote This For You has been nominated for several festival awards, including Best Supporting Actor (Patrick Walker), Best Supporting Actress (Serra Naiman), Best Actress (Melise), Best Director (Jason Zavelta), and Best Film.
